Iona Lane is a Highlands-based singer-songwriter whose work is deeply rooted in landscape, ecology, and folklore. Her new album, Swilkie, brings together poetic songwriting and atmospheric melodies inspired by three artist residencies on the Isle of Eigg, the Isle of Mull, and Sanday in Orkney. Each song is shaped by a strong sense of place—where lighthouses, curlews, basking sharks, lichen, and disappearing islands all find their way into her vivid narratives.
Recorded in a boathouse on Scotland’s West Coast, Swilkie carries the subtle presence of the sea, with the gentle wash of tide quietly woven into the album’s texture. Join us one Friday a month in the Hangar for an evening of family friendly live music with some great local talent! Bring your own instruments, bring your band or show up solo and jam or just hang out and enjoy! The Garden Variety RockStars will open each evening at 9pm, the stage will open up to those willing to strut their stuff. There will be a fire pit burning outside and you are welcome to bring your own chairs, or get cozy in the ample seating in Hanger 18. BYOB if you wish and/or snacks. The Rancho concession will also be open. 😊 |

Karaoke isn't about singing like Celine Dion or Chris Cornell, it's about having fun and just singing like nobody else is listening. Our karaoke nights are very accepting, non-judgemental and never critical. We usually have 20 - 30 people in attendance; some singers and some spectators. Like Jam nights, we usually have a fire going outside, a range of ages, experience and skill levels, and it's a great way to meet people and have a great time. Come try out our stage with professional audio, monitors, a 6000Watt PA, vocal effects, and a sound engineer to ensure you sound as good as possible. Friday night 8pm - Late All Ages welcome until 11pm BYOB, $10 suggested donation for spectators, scent free event. |
